Maori Carded Wool Batts, 2 oz Maori Carded Wool Batts, 2 oz

2 oz Bundles of Maori carded wool batts are made from a blend of Corriedale and Coopworth fleece and beautifully dyed in a rainbow of rich colors.

Great for needle felting, I consider this a medium wool with micron counts from 28-32 and a short staple length of 2 inches. There is some occasional vm but nothing that won't easily pick out.

Maori/Bergschaf (70/30) Blend Batts, 2 oz Maori/Bergschaf (70/30) Blend Batts, 2 oz

I am in love with this wool!

This is a blend of Maori and Bergschaf wool (it is a 70/30% blend). What I love about it is its ease of needle nelting and its nuanced colors. Colors are not solid so have a lovely depth and dimension to them. I am not really a pastel kind of woman but can already tell they will have lots of uses! I want to sleep on it!

These pastels...perfect for spring projects. The Sunflower yellow is going to be perfect for spring chicks!

Bergschaf Natural Brown Batt, 2 oz Bergschaf Natural Brown Batt, 2 oz

The earthy, primitive and simple beauty of this wool makes me swoon. Not only does it smell mildly sheepy, it is visually pleasing as well.

Braine Bergschaf is a Tyrolean Mountain breed (Austria and Germany). Fiber is on the coarse side at 32- 36 microns, is clean and free of most all vm and does have some kemp fibers throughout. Kemp or midulated fibers are stiffer hollow fibers that are usually white. Color is a dark, warm brown. Traditionally this wool is used for rugs and outer garments.

Use in needle felting, for furring or otherwise, or even spinning. Staple length is approximately 3 inches.

These are 2 oz bundles.

Enjoy!

Fibers are relatively short so needle felt smoothly and quickly. There is nothing not to love.
