White Wool Roving, a Blend of USA Sheep, 2 oz White Wool Roving, a Blend of USA Sheep, 2 oz

This roving is a blend of all USA grown sheep wool.
The fiber is a combed wool roving with a 6” staple length and an average micron count of 25 (soft but not next to skin soft). It is white but not bright white. Each bundle is 2 oz.
This is a great roving for wrapping wire as the staple length is long enough not to break as you wrap. The fiber takes dye beautifully making it very versatile. This fiber spins beautifully and good for outer wear garments like hats and scarves and is great for “furring” needle felted sculptures like rabbits or wooly mammoths! I am happy to custom dye this fiber to your needs.

Flesh Tone, light skinned, Core Roving, 2 oz Flesh Tone, light skinned, Core Roving, 2 oz

This is a beautifully soft core roving perfect for light skinned, needle felted sculptures.

The roving is relatively short stapled and felts down firmly and smoothly giving the face a lovely texture. There are occasional pieces of vm to pick out as you felt. The gnome pictured has a tiny bit of blush on his cheeks to make them rosy.

I use this for gnomes and I am sure it would also make a great piggy but haven't yet used it for that purpose...I better get cracking!

Light skinned flesh tone comes in 2 oz balls.

DHG Shop Super Fine Merino, 16 microns DHG Shop Super Fine Merino, 16 microns

I love all things earthy and primitive and in its natural state and that is what my shop is full of. It was time to add something soft and shiny! This is 16 micron, white extra-fine merino wool that originated in Australia, from DHG Shop, and I have bundled it by the 2oz.

It is perfect for nuno felting, wet felting, carding into pelts to add sheen for needle felted sculpture and for spinning.

Fiber is commercially prepared so is uber clean and free of vm. Staple length looks to be around 5 inches (2 oz bundles are lying next to a ruler to give you an idea of how big the bundle is) and is definitely next to skin soft and will take dye beautifully.

The company that produces this sliver is certified by the International Oeko-Tex Association to be eco- friendly.
