This DHG Shop prefelt is so versatile: use it as a base for wet felted couture (cuffs, tunics, boas, shawls), make clothing for your needle felted gnomes and other sculptures, backing for 2-D wool painting, pelt base for needle felted animal sculptures. I am sure I am forgetting something!

The wool for this prefelt originates in Australia and is 19 micron merino. It is next to skin soft, less than an 1/8 inch thick and is cut to approximately 18x30 inch piece. The prefelt arrived at the shop vacuum packed so may still be a little wrinkled).

Acacia is more a Caucasian flesh tone than the Natural White which is creamy white.

This is the softest prefelt I have ever felt. 19 micron merino carded with mulberry silk to create this thin but lofty prefelt. The mix is an 80/20 blend. Great for wet feltedflowers!

Make scarf blanks for dying and printing, vest, cowls...you name it. This "fabric" is quite delicate so handle with care so as not to tear. 1 yard will make 4+ scarf blanks, just wet felt to your desired thickness and texture then have at it! I would cut the blanks along the 48 inch side.

The neck wrap/scarflet pictured is 35” long and 4.5 inches wide (measured with the little balls scrunching it up) and had a 40% shrink rate. For longer items I would needle felt a seam and connect two pieces before wet felting. This fiber takes acid dyes beautifully.
